About Catherine Clark
Catherine Clark | BA
GRADUATE STUDENT COUNSELOR
Counseling for Adults (18+)
Catherine believes that every person has the capacity for transformation, especially when met with safety, compassion, and connection. She strives to create a warm and empathetic space where clients can explore their emotions with support and care. Catherine is passionate about working with individuals navigating body image concerns, disordered eating, anxiety, and depression.
Catherine is somatically oriented and her approach is influenced by Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Through this work, she gently helps clients connect with their emotions and tune into their body’s experience of those feelings.
Catherine’s practice is firmly rooted in Health At Every Size, fat liberation, and intersectional feminist and social justice frameworks. She is committed to providing affirming care for individuals of all body sizes and marginalized identities, offering a space where clients can show up authentically and be met with respect and affirmation.
Catherine is originally from North Carolina and moved to Portland by way of Washington, D.C. She enjoys long strolls with her partner and their two dogs, reading in the sunshine, and crafting while sipping on a heartwarming cup of tea.
