Lindsay Corliss counselor

Lindsay is a compassionate counselor who is focused on supporting and empowering her clients. She values creating a space where clients feel safe, cared for, respected, and welcome to explore the deeper layers of their experience. Lindsay collaborates with clients to support their unique needs and goals, always meeting them where they are in their journey.

Lindsay’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes moving toward values and goals with compassionate, non-judgmental awareness. She also integrates mindfulness and meditation to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and navigate challenges. Lindsay emphasizes multiculturalism and social justice in her work, ensuring that conversations naturally include clients’ cultural identities, social locations, and the broader contexts of their unique lived experiences. Lindsay works with clients experiencing a wide range of challenges and experiences. She enjoys working with clients living with anxiety, depression, grief, and parenting challenges.

Lindsay is particularly passionate about supporting individuals facing anxiety disorders including OCD, social anxiety, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and emetophobia. She helps clients work wisely with intrusive thoughts and uses Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) to treat OCD and other anxiety disorders. Lindsay believes in the transformative power of facing fears with care and support, uncovering personal strength and freedom that may have previously seemed unimaginable.

Lindsay believes that life’s challenges, while often painful, can present opportunities for growth and personal development. She recognizes that all people struggle in one way or another and views pain as integral to the human experience. Lindsay enjoys helping clients identify and overcome limiting beliefs and patterns, befriend themselves, and honor their unique lives.

Lindsay is honored to work alongside clients and strives to hold above all each person’s possibility and potential. Lindsay is grateful to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, having called Portland home for nearly 20 years. A former kindergarten teacher and mother of two, Lindsay enjoys cooking, baking, drinking tea, and taking road trips with her family. She also loves walking with her black lab, Gus, and finding joy in nature.
