About Kelly Grover

Kelly Grover | BA, Student Intern

Counseling for Adults (18+)

Kelly is a student intern at Star Meadow Counseling. She provides clients with a warm and accepting therapeutic environment. She believes therapy is a collaborative process that can provide a greater sense of peace to one’s life. There is so much growth and healing that can come from confronting the pain and suffering in life and she hopes to meet you there. In that space, Kelly welcomes you to show up as you are.

She loves to help clients with anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship stress. She values helping clients explore underlying emotions that have yet to be uncovered and explored. She will help you bring to light some of these feelings and work through them in the here and now. Through trust, empathy and curiosity, there is space to truly talk about the messiness that is life and begin to process in a way that makes meaning of those experiences.

Kelly uses a Psychodynamic approach along with Narrative Therapy to support people through difficult times in their life. Kelly also loves to integrate art therapy techniques into her work.

Kelly is originally from Chicago, Illinois and is enjoying getting to know the Pacific Northwest. She is in her last year of graduate school in the counseling program at Lewis & Clark College.  She enjoys playing tennis and tries to do so as much possible in between the rainy Portland days. She also likes to explore new hiking trails with her dog, Finn, and hopes to one day introduce her cat, Moo, to the outdoor life too!
